Dowlish Wake, Somerset,

St Andrew

This fine-sounding ring of five bells was augmented to six by the addition of a surplus bell from St Augustine's Centre, Southampton. The Trust acquired the bell and put it into storage until a suitable project was found.

The ringers at Dowlish Wake worked hard to raise the necessary funds and the bell was re-dedicated on Sunday 10th June 2001 by the Venerable John Reed, Archdeacon of Taunton.

The bells have recently been augmented to eight by adding two newly cast trebles.
