Helping churches acquire surplus and/or redundant bells to be hung for
English-style full-circle bell-ringing.
The Potteries Ringing Centre
An initiative is being launched to restore the ten bells at the former church of St John, Hanley and create the Potteries Ringing Centre for the training of bell-ringers. It is planned to make the training centre available to local schools and youth groups so that a new generation of ringers can be attracted and taught to ring.
One of the first fund-raising activities was a sponsored abseil held on 2nd & 3rd November. Dave Kelly, Secretary of the Keltek Trust signed up and survived! The following gallery shows the state of the building in 2010, January 2012 and some pictures of the abseil on 3rd November 2012.
