Our Internet Service Provider
We changed our ISP during June 2012 to Memset. It was the best IT decision we have taken. Our previous ISP had an overseas call-centre and it was almost impossible to make them understand problems. We had been with them since 1998 but as the years progressed they moved their call centre overseas and communication difficulties ensued. From time to time something would stop working e.g. a page counter but they were unable to understand the nature of the problem let alone fix it. Eventually we realised that if left long enough faults would be resolved without us doing anything. Not ideal as it could be weeks before faults were fixed. We also found that they would delete some of our files without telling us; if a file hadn’t changed for a long time they considered it wasn’t required and deleted it! To overcome this we regularly re-loaded every web site file.
Since we moved to Memset we have had nothing but fast and efficient service from the customer support team. We cannot praise them enough. They operate in the UK; they understand your problems and they come up with solutions quickly. I might add that none of the problems have been Memset’s, all ours!
We have also found that our email is far more reliable than it has ever been but that may be due to migrating away from a “.org” to a “.org.uk” domain name.
If you are looking for a good ISP then try Memset.
