Conservation by Re-use
Helping churches acquire surplus and/or redundant bells to be hung for
English-style full-circle bell-ringing.
Sutton Cheney, Leicestershire,
St James
The recently restored ring of four bells has been augmented to six by adding two second-hand bells. The second of six is a bell by an as yet unknown founder and was located by Matthew Higby & George Dawson. The treble of six is a undated 20th Century Taylor bell acquired from a scrapyard in Warrington and has been donated to the church by the Keltek Trust.
